December 1, 201312 yr Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Influencer for the Sabnzbd Plaugin, making my unraid Server more usefull!
December 2, 201312 yr At some point in the past few weeks, my ability to search for movies in Couchpotato has stopped working. Now, when I type in something to search, the box shows up below, and the little "searching" icon flashes for a moment to indicate it's searching, but then it doesn't show any movies. It just looks like this: I looked in my settings, and nothing appears to have changed with providers, searchers, etc. I haven't made any other configuration changes to Unraid (that I know of). I'm running Couchpotato 2.3.6 on Unraid 5.0-rc5. Help? (And thanks!)
December 3, 201312 yr I have been happily using the sabnzbd and sickbeard plugins for a long time now. I've moved to a new location, and when I setup the server again, the plugins didn't install automatically. I installed them from the GUI (settings) and all was well. Then, I've had a lot of problems with my internet provider, lost service for about a week, but was still able to stay connected to the server. Now, I've restarted the server and the plugins won't install/run. if I click on "install" in the settings/gui, it looks like it's installing, and creates the directories at /usr/local/ (sabnzbd & sickbeard), but both directories remain blank, and the plugins are not installed. I've tried turning the "enable..." box to no, then back to yes, and it looks like it might get further, but they still don't install. I've got the latest versions of the plugins sitting in /boot/config/plugins/, but I'm stuck
December 4, 201312 yr @ mephtik - the first thing I would recommend is for you to upgrade to the official 5.03 release. There have been a lot of updates since rc5. Make sure unraid is happy, no errors in syslog, etc. Then trouble shoot plugins.
December 4, 201312 yr I still cannot get the plugins to install on my system, running 5.03. Any ideas/thoughts on how to resolve?
December 4, 201312 yr I still cannot get the plugins to install on my system, running 5.03. Any ideas/thoughts on how to resolve? Need a log from startup or a log from manually installing a plg file before we can begin to help
December 4, 201312 yr It looks like the plugins install okay, but the programs never run. Trying to manually install from the Settings interface does not add any information to the syslog. I'm not sure if/where that iformation might be stored/available. I rebooted the server, and the syslog from the startup is attached. thanks. syslog.txt
December 5, 201312 yr Nothing obvious is jumping out, you have Sabnzbd, sickbeard, apcupsd, and the new web-gui as the only plugins? and none of these are showing up in the unraid webpage under settings after startup?
December 5, 201312 yr correct, only those 4 plugins. The APC UPS plugin seems to be working just fine, as does the web GUI (I think, I'm not sure what the 'stock' looks like) the sabnzbd and sickbeard plugins also install just fine. I can see them from the Settings page, and can make changes to the setup, but they don't actually install the programs. When I click Install, it shows text along the bottom of the page, as if it's installing, but then just comes back to the settings page, not installed, and with no error message. It doesn't matter if I install manually, or reboot unRAID, the programs never run. I can't see any error messages, or any text related to the installation of the programs, so I can't see what's the problem.
December 5, 201312 yr the problem probably be caused by one of the packages conflicting with another version used by one of the .plg addons, its an increasing problem. Best thing to do is play detective and start again. 1) on the flash drive, rename boot/packages to boot/packagesold (just in case of a mishap you can rename it back) 2) then rename boot/config/plugins to boot/config/pluginsold (same) 3) reboot 4) re-add the plg files (fresh download) and install manually one at a time via telnet (cd /boot/config/packages, installplg sabnzbd_unplugged.plg) 5) check the settings page after each installplg, and check that you can install it from the settings page and show its running. 6) best guess is start with sabnzbd, then sickbeard, then apcupsd and leave the new gui to last.
December 6, 201312 yr the new gui sucks - data doesn't show up in the right spot and I've corrupt my config files when editing via the new webgui. I went back to stock and I have no issues at all with gui. I think it's been posted several times now that the new webgui is full of bugs and needs a lot of work. That said, not sure anyone is really working on it, so I gave up. I miss the email notify from Simplefeatures and the temps, etc. But none of that stuff is worth a unstable system.
December 6, 201312 yr the problem probably be caused by one of the packages conflicting with another version used by one of the .plg addons, its an increasing problem. Best thing to do is play detective and start again... Worked great. Not sure what was messed up as I used the same .plg files. I just started over, installed sab first, then APC UPS, then sickbeard, then couchpotato (which does not work, it's such a buggy program for me; I have the plugin installing, but am not installing/running cp). I did not install the new web GUI, but instead decided to test Simple Features, and have so far had good luck. I've been testing and installing one at a time, then rebooting (which is taking increasingly longer each time), and have finished installing everything but the new GUI, and have just restarted again. Simple Features didn't install properly. I re-read and remembered that it needs to be installed in /boot/plugins - NOT /boot/config/plugins along with everything else. I only installed the GUI and active streams plugin, but everything started fine, and all seems well at this point. Thanks for the help
December 8, 201312 yr The current situation with the GUIs is a bit intolerable at the moment, between stock, new, SF and unmenu. All have such great features and benefits but none are perfect since 5.0 And there seems to be a increasing conflict in the plgs due to different versions of Slackware (packages) Still, it's manageable for the time being, best to keep plgs to a minimum to avoid conflict.
December 11, 201312 yr Having trouble with SABNZBd and Sickbeard. They have been running fine for ages until last night Sickbeard gives the error sickbeard.pid cannot be created.... ok and doesnt start. Sabnzbd says connot create a log file. I have chowned the data directories for these apps. but they won't run. any help? syslog.zip
December 14, 201312 yr Having trouble with SABNZBd and Sickbeard. They have been running fine for ages until last night Sickbeard gives the error sickbeard.pid cannot be created.... ok and doesnt start. Sabnzbd says connot create a log file. I have chowned the data directories for these apps. but they won't run. any help? Did you install or update any other plgs Can you attach the unRAID log instead of sickbeard log
December 14, 201312 yr I can't find anything on how to add a torrent from sickbeard to transmission via black hole, in the googlehole. With Couchpotato it works fine to add a movie and everything is automatic. Did I miss something here? In Sickbeard under config -> Search Settings -> Click "search Torrents" and add the blackhole location of your transmission auto load directory.
December 14, 201312 yr I want to confirm that updates are working for SB, CP, and SAB. Influencer informed me that because I have both the install and data directory in the same location, I need to make sure that update process still works. There seems to be two places where you see that an update is available - the Settings page --> open SB/CP/SAB and there is a plugin update button. I would expect that if a new version was available, it would show up here and the Update button would be visible. The other location is on the SB/CP/SAB (http://tower:8082/ for CP as an example). At one point CP told me there was an update from the CP webgui. SB did this too. SAB has never done this, but I have only been running this setup for a month or two. Oh, and I do not see the versions for any of these when looking at the webgui pages (either SB/CP/SAB). The only place I see a version number is on the main unraid --> settings -- plugin icon. Current versions: SB = a50ccde18208f5c708574af05ac27430c6f90274 SB plugin = 2.4.1 CP = just shows V2 at the top. CP plugin = 2.3.6 SAB = 0.7.16 SAB plugin = 2.5.3 Are these the current versions - or should I have seen an update offer? Thanks!
December 14, 201312 yr CP shows its version number in "cog" icon -> settings -> about. It's the GitHub number to compare + the time and date.
December 15, 201312 yr Having trouble with SABNZBd and Sickbeard. They have been running fine for ages until last night Sickbeard gives the error sickbeard.pid cannot be created.... ok and doesnt start. Sabnzbd says connot create a log file. I have chowned the data directories for these apps. but they won't run. any help? Did you install or update any other plgs Can you attach the unRAID log instead of sickbeard log That was my system log. But I restarted the server twice and now its working. magic
December 15, 201312 yr Anyone successfully update Newznab to the latest release? I couldn't get it to work as it now uses pdo and for what ever reason I couldn't get pdo enabled.
December 15, 201312 yr Nevermind... figured out what I did wrong. I though the entry I had made for the "movie" folder would carry through for existing titles, but you have to enter the existing directory separately (even if it is the same as the one you are renaming to). Then the library refresh works great and finds all of the existing movies.
December 15, 201312 yr CP shows its version number in "cog" icon -> settings -> about. It's the GitHub number to compare + the time and date. thanks - this is what I see, b468048d95216474183daafaf46a4f2bd0d7ada7 (?12?/?1?/?2013? ?8?:?37?:?07? ?PM)Updatersource, masterID10063 Again, how can I tell if I have the current versions? Is there a single website I can go check to confirm I have all the latest and greatest?

And yes, you are on the latest. https://github.com/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer/commit/b468048d95216474183daafaf46a4f2bd0d7ada7
