I have spent all day trying to fix my CP, it all started this morning with Sickbeard not working after an update to i managed to recover that. But CP was not working as well, it stated it was up and running but i could not connect to CP via the web GUI. So i backed up the files first and have tried to clean install but not managed to get any further with it. I have CP installed and Unraid states its running but i still cant connect. I have spent all searching the forums to understand what my be wrong but to be honest im lost. Everything was working sweet and a nut but now im without CP sad times  .

 

Can anyone point me in the right direction as what to look for please.

Best place to start is the unRAID log and the CP log plus a screenshot of your CP plg page before anything else

lol, all I had to do was add the --noresize parameter to the sickbeard plg, beside the other parameters like --daemon. nzb360 is now back to displaying high-res cover arts

Best place to start is the unRAID log and the CP log plus a screenshot of your CP plg page before anything else

 

Of course you have cleared your browser cache and ensured that you are connecting to the correct PORT (for example: http://tower:8082/) - right?  You should confirm that the plugin is configured for that same port.  Have you tried to click on the RUNNING link on the CP plugin Settings screen?  I also recommend using the stock gui for unraid.  I had config corrupts when using the new WebGui.

1) How do I set the system automatically to re-install plugins upon reboot instead running the scripts manually?

2) How to configure so that settings will survive for each plugins upon reboot?

You will have to configure them to install on /mnt. Only /mnt and /boot are persistent. All others like /usr are in RAMfs.

 

one quick question: i cant browse my directories in counpotato on my unraid 5.0.4 server. i added the directories with the config file, but its not showing my library.

 

there is still the advice under "manage":

Seems like you don't have anything in your library yet.

Add your existing movie folders in Settings > Manage

I've just installed 5.0.4 and I cannot put plugins into the /boot/config/plugins folder because it's not a folder it's a Document (?) and I cannot delete it as it just comes right back.

what are you using to edit the flash drive, from unraid or from a pc or mac?  That is not a file or document, it's a folder.

In short, shutdown your unraid server and pull the flash drive out.  Put it in a mac or pc and create the plugins folder, put the plugins you want and safely remove your flash drive from the computer.  Put it back in the unraid and boot up.  If that doesn't work, then save the syslog before you shutdown and post it here.

Not sure exactly what it was, ls -la showed nothing called plugins, however I copied everything out of the config folder into a new folder called config, copied all the other files over, formatted the usb drive moved it all back over and "made bootable" and it now seems fine, some kind of corruption I guess.

Has anyone redone these plugins with the latest versions of python/other redists? I know I saw some work on it awhile back but didn't know if it was finished yet. Plex Connect uses the latest python and would love having everything on that version.

I took all in what you said thanks for the insight, i stopped all of the pluggins that i had running except CP. Did a bit of poking around but still nothing so i decided to delete everything off the server that related to CP and reboot. Did that then downloaded it again and installed it manually, i left the port at default 5222, guess what its all up and running again.

I have configure to install SABNZBD to /mnt/user/app/sabnzbd and datadir to /mnt/use/app/datadir/sabnzbd which I have already created using MKDIR at cli. You shouldn't have to do anything at the command line to get the plugin to work, except maybe installplg, which will happen anyway when you reboot. The folders you configure in the plugin page on the webGUI will be created for you.

 

Do you have a cache drive? Many people install their apps to a cache-only share.

 

Anyway, not clear what your problem is. Post a syslog, and a screenshot of the SABnzbd plugin page in the webGUI.

My problem is with CPv2. It shows as running but when I click on running to go to set it up chrome tells me it cannot find the page. I've tried forwarding ports on my router and I've even switched it to  the port that sab was working on(of course changing the sab port before) and get the same error. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, stopping and starting CP, and rebooting unraid. Nothing has worked. I'm running version 5.0.3. I have just had a similar problem CP said it was running but i could nt access the webGUI. After not having it for a week or so i shutdown all pluggins, deleted CP from where it was installed  and the plugin it self in the config/pluggins folder. rebooted the server and checked everything had been remove and i didnt have CP loaded or running, then i downloaded if again from Influencers page and did a manual install from a telnet session. Rebooted the server again and shutdown all of the service except CP, guess what it worked. I let it pick its own port 5222, i thyen statrted all the other services and sat down to config CP. All back up and working, i know drastic but its working and doing what it says on the tin,  :) .

 

If you want the experts to look at it for you post a screen shot of your CP in UnRaid and your unraid log, im sure someone will take a look

 

BTW i am not an expert so don't listen to me  this is what i did to get it working for me.

If you want you can use the Control Panel plugin, and manage all your plugins from there.

You would need to install it using the old fashion way.
