July 9, 201213 yr I have unraid 5.0 rc2 with 4x 2TB disks, 1 parity and 3 data. My folders are currently set up like this: Media Share -Movies --ABC Movie Folder ---ABC.mkv -TVShows --XYZ Series ---Season 1 ----XYZ S01E01.mkv Split Level: 2 Allocation Method: High-Water Minimum Free Space: 200GB I'm having an issue where I'm finding "ABC Movie" and "XYZ Series" folders across multiple drives. Once of them the "ABC Movie" folder has the mkv's in it, but the other disk has the "ABC Movie" folder and it's empty. I get them using couchpotato, sickbeard, and SABnzbd. The addons are installed onto the Media share under a different subfolder. Please help! Thanks!
July 9, 201213 yr Are you first downloading to an array disk and then sorting to the final destination? If so, that is likely your problem.
July 9, 201213 yr Yes. unRAID will not move a file from disk to disk in a user share. Most use a cache disk or another non-array disk for downloads. When the file is then moved into the array the allocation method is used correctly. Moving a file to another disk is done using the disk shares, e.g., "mv /mnt/disk1/Media/ABC Movie Folder/ABC.mkv /mnt/disk2/Media/ABC Movie Folder/ABC.mkv"
July 10, 201213 yr Author SABnzbd and other addons are in a folder under my Media share: Media -Torrents --SABnzbd ---Downloads --Couch Potato Once SABnzbd downloads something, couchpotato will do auto-processing, rename the folders and files, and move it to the Media/Movies/ folder. How can I fix this so it uses the split level correctly? Does that sound right though, that it would have folders across multiple drives? Some of the folders being empty?
July 10, 201213 yr maybe you should create another use share for the downloading and limit that to disk1 only. \\tower\downloads -- do all downloading here, then have CP or SB move to the \\tower\media\tv(movies) folders and let unraid figure out which disks to send it to based on your settings. \\tower\media
July 10, 201213 yr You need the downloading to be on a disk outside the protected array OR you need a disk that does not contain the final destination. A cache disk is the easiest way.

Will this definitely work?
July 10, 201213 yr Will this definitely work? I expect it to work only if the media share doesn't include the same disk.
