n40L Bios update or not to increase speed

I'm running unRAID and haven't updated the n40L BIOS to get the ODD Drive to operate at max speed. Question is is it worthwhile doing this noting  I'm using a 120GB SSD cache disk which is activated for the large user shares?

 

Just that I'm seeing variable write speeds moving data between shares 40MB/s peak down to 7MB/s short intervals.
