Hi,

I'm new to unraid. I was tyring out the basic version with 3 old 500GB SAMSUNG HD501LJ drives. I had two user shares and ran cache_dirs script and unmenu. I had some movies copied to the user shares and had those shares feed XBMC on the htpc (just trying to test unraid in general).

The array was running ok from July 1st. Yesterday I deleted my library db from XBMC and tried to rescan the sources (including user shares on unraid server). I noticed that XBMC hung for the longest time on a first movie which was on the unraid server. I tried opening unraid's stock webGUI and unMENU, but neither worked. I searched the forums, found and used these commands to restart emhttp:

killall emhttp
nohup /usr/local/sbin/emhttp &
cd /boot/unmenu
uu

This did not help. Today I noticed, that in the "Network Map" unraid Tower was listed as "The following discovered device(s) can not be placed in the map." I tried restarting my router - it did not help either.

I searched the forums and found this thread: 5.0RC3 - BLK_EH_NOT_HANDLED causes freeze. Looking at my syslog, I had this at Jul 11 11:46:46.

Questions: Is this BLK_EH_NOT_HANDLED the culprit?

How do I restart the server without the webGUI?

Sorry I'm totaly new to unraid and linux in general. Syslog attached.

The specs:

unRAID: v5.0-rc5

mobo: BFG NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI
