July 19, 201213 yr Author I haven't read about anyone having issues with this drive (and prostuff1's link above is positive), so I'm fairly sure it's fine . I ordered 1 for my parity drive, and figure I'll wait a bit to get another one, in case the price on these guys keeps dropping. I'm hoping this is a trend back to the good ol days of $69/2TB!

No problems so far, using unRAID v5.0-rc5 on a Supermicro SAS2LP-MV8. The disks are getting a bit warmer then i was expecting, about 40C, but this offcourse is also depending on the used enclosure etc.

According to the NCIX site, they have a 3 year manufacturer warranty: First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the 3 year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.

Once it has been included, I'm confident to say that the temps should drop to low-mid 30s. Speeds are pretty solid. I was seeing up to 150MB/S reads and 110 MB/S writes...
