Cannot access files - UnRaid 5.0-rc5

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just migrated to UnRaid 5.

I have some files stored in my cahce drive which are open automatically by a script after torrent has downloaded.

They are owened by Root.

I can change the directory name but I can not move, change name or delete the files inside.

Windows says I requiere permissions from SERVERNAME/root.

This is strange since I have permissions in unraid for the current user that mapped the drive.

Sometimes I even get this error for Noboday... but usally its for root.

how can I fix this?

It is the result of how you are mapping your windows drives. Create a new users you will use to mount with (not root), then remap all your windows drives using that new users, be carefull to tell windows to map with new credentials, otherwise windows will use the cached root credentials and they will not work.

If this has been done then run the permissions script to set correct the permissions on all files in your array..
