willi_jan9393
Hello Guys, I'm from Germany, so please excuse my bad english. I'm trying to build my own Unraid box the whle day, but i can't get an ip adress from unraid. My Hardware: - Supermicro X9SCM-F - Intel Pentium G620 - 8GB Kingston ECC Memory - 2x Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 - Corsair HX850 - Norco RPC-4220 I installed unraid onto an USB Stick (San Disk Cruzer) and my system is booting. I use this Guide for my installation: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Tutorial I type in: "root" then: "ifconfig eth0" according to the guide there has to be something like: "inet addr:192.168.1.123" but there ISN'T a promt like this! I've already checked a few other USB sticks (Verbatim Clip-It + other San Disk + noname) and an Intel CT Gigabit NIC. I also set up the ipadress manual by editing the network settings on the usb key with notepad. But it all didn't work. After that i've tried a Live CD of Freenas to check, if the network connection is working generally. -> No problems with it, so my problem has to be an unraid issue. I'm very desperate and hope there's anybody, who can help me... Thanks und best regards Jan Quote Link to comment

Johnm
I dont believe you can disable the port in the bios. it is a jumper on the board. plug the cable into the other nic and reboot... Quote Link to comment
