RPC-4220 Drive Vents Gone?

I just got a RPC-4220 from newegg this week.  And none of the drive caddies have front vents that slide closed they are all a single piece with drilled holes.  Is this a new design change?  I guess i may have to stuff foam in each unused drive slot.

    Yep.. thats the new style.

     

    They started that with the yellow backplanes.

    question though, are the leds brighter new?
