July 27, 201213 yr I recently built a new server and gradually migrating data from the old one... I set up a user share for my hd movies spanning included disks - disk8,disk9,disk10,disk11 with high water and minimum space set correctly. Three of the disks have filled in the expected high water manner but disk9 has been ignored and remains empty and the share just complained about unable to copy as out of space Any ideas?
July 28, 201213 yr Try creating the share directory on the disk. I believe there is a bug with the mover script in that it won't create a share directory on a new disk.
July 28, 201213 yr Author What is the directory structure of "HD Movies"? //Disk#/hd movies/movie_name/movie_files split level two Try creating the share directory on the disk. I believe there is a bug with the mover script in that it won't create a share directory on a new disk. I'm not using the cache drive yet for writing as I'm still transferring files from the old server so not using the mover script but the user share name is already added to that disk.
July 28, 201213 yr This is really bizarre. Some things to try: Reboot the server. Try deleting the included disks and fill in the complement of excluded disks. Reboot if it still doesn't work.
July 29, 201213 yr Author Tried rebooting - same Tried changing to excluded disks and rebooted - same Any other ideas?
July 30, 201213 yr Author Copied some movies directly to the drive and the movies do not show if I access via the user share....
July 30, 201213 yr OK, that is very odd. Are you 100% sure the name is exactly the same (capitols, spaces etc)

September 4, 201213 yr Author Finally had a chance to try this, swapped disk 9 out with another previously precleared on another machine and the share is still ignored.
September 15, 201213 yr Author Now added another couple of drives precleared on my old system and now have 4 drives being ignored by the user share.
September 16, 201213 yr Author enable user shares - yes included disks - disk1,disk2,disk3,disk4,disk5,disk6,disk7,disk8,disk,9,disk10,disk11,disk12,disk13,disk14,disk15,disk16,disk17 excluded disks -
September 16, 201213 yr Not sure if you have a typo in your response, but what you included has a typo for disk9. disk8,disk,9,disk10, Remove the stray "," between disk and 9. Also, when you apply the changes, be certain to stop then start the array to ensure the changes take affect.
September 16, 201213 yr Author I think that might be it, thats the first disk I was having issues with. I'll report back.

September 18, 201213 yr Too bad the image you posted in post #4 didn't match your list you posted in post #18. Would have made life much easier seeing that extra comma at the start.
