I got a couple of hard drives from my brother that he wasn't using anymore.

I am currently preclearingnthem now, and noticed that one of the drives corresponded to this one in the thread here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=2773.0.

 

If I were to update the firmware on that drive, would I need to preclear it again?

    Wouldn't hurt to test the new firmware via a second preclear.
