July 31, 201213 yr Good evening, I just received my new Supermicro X9SCM-F motherboard to significantly upgrade my old system. I purchased a Pentium Dual Core G620 Processor for it and Corsair XMS CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 DDR3-1333 memory, 2 4 Gb sticks which I installed in the blue memory slots. The exact link to the memory is here - http://ncix.com/products/?sku=53427&vpn=CMX8GX3M2A1333C9&manufacture=Corsair . When I start up the system (only processor, memory and unRAID USB), I get a memory error (five short, one long beep) which means no memory found. Did I purchase the wrong memory? Am I missing something? Thank you. (PS) I am SO glad to have purchased a Supermicro IPMI board. Using IPMI View to manage the board will be AMAZING!
July 31, 201213 yr Probably but all I can tell you is that I have the following Kingston memory working on my X9SCM-F.
July 31, 201213 yr That was the wrong memory, you needed ECC unbuffered UDIMMs server memory. the stuff you now ordered should be fine
