telnet command for moving folders from one drive to another

Featured Replies

well basicly as the subject says.

just wanting to put a little bit of order, music/tv shows only on one drive ect ect.. having multiply drives spin up currently when going into certain groups.

know i can do it via windows, but surly would be quicker having the computer do it, itself, not over the network back and forward

easy use midnight commander

call it within telnet using the command mc

you will find it intuitive and well documented via google :)

thanks

If you use the telnet client built into windows the function keys in "mc" will not work.  You can use the two key sequences "Escape 1" through Escape 0" to simulate the function keys F1 through F10.

If you install and use "putty" as your telnet client, you can use the function keys and also be able to use your mouse with "mc"
