Many errors after updating to 5.0-rc6-r8168-test

[EDIT] This issue does not occur with RC8a.

Can someone please let me know what all these errors mean. Everything seems to work fine if I revert to rc3.

I think everything but unmenu is off (easier to get a log). The results seem similar.

I'm thinking about trying a completely clean install. What is the absolute minimum I need to transfer from my current install (other than the licence)? If I start completely fresh and add the disks back in the same order will that work? What about the shares?

Thanks

I've basically tried that (minus removing unmenu). I've tweaked quite a few things (I've probably forgotten most of them) so I'd like to start fresh. Will starting new and assigning the disks correctly preserve my data?

Tried it with a fresh install. Same errors. :(

Here is the log from from a completely clean install of v5.0-rc6-r8168-test2. Any ideas on what I could try to get this sorted? As before when I revert to rc3 everything works fine.

Thanks

Still haven't figured it out. Tried resetting bios to defaults, updating bios, memtest, unplugging the SIL3132 I had connected to a DVD drive. Same results.  Replace bzimage and bzroot with RC3 files and all is well again. Ideas?

interesting, same here go back to rc3 and it works fine. (other then the bugs in rc3)

your not even using an add-in card?

I had an SIL3132 that I was using with a dvd drive but I removed it for that last test. I think my hardware is fairly common so I'm surprised more folks aren't having issues.

what drives?

Parity - Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB

Disk 1 - WDC WD20EARX 2TB

Disk 2 - Hitachi 2TB

Disk 3 - SAMSUNG SpinPoint F2 EG series 1.5TB

Disk 4 - Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB

Cache - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1TB

I'm running reiserfsck --check on them now since I can't think of anything else to try. So far everything looks good.

that's the same thing i was thinking! but since i can access them via ssh i dont think thats it :(
