And I cant access the files in the share folder (nor in windows ofcourse), I can only see the files in while access the disk itself but thier color in red (in midnight commander) and I can not access them.

The one`s in white i can access and see in windows but they are few.

See the attached MC picture.

Please help me guys, I have no other backup for this collection.

Shlomi

  • Author

I have a M1015 Lsi controller flashed to IT mode.

When i try to create a smart status report in unMenu it say`s:

Smartctl: Device Read Identity Failed (not an ATA/ATAPI device)

How can I do that in a M1015?

Thank`s for helping.

try on the command line

Ran the test, had several errors.

Ran it in a VM Console and not putty so I can copy nor go up the output text.

In the end it said it found 1 error which must be corrected using rebuild_tree.

I will now run rebuild tree.

Hope I wont fuck it up.

To make the smartctl reports work from unmenu you can change:

RunCommand(sprintf("smartctl -a -d ata /dev/%s", dev), disk);

to

RunCommand(sprintf("smartctl -a -d sat /dev/%s", dev), disk);

in 99-unmenu-utility.awk

by changing "ata" to "sat" seems to make the smartctl reports work in unmenu for me.

I might have made the change in another file but I don't seem to see any other files with modified dates that are not configuration files.
