What Parity build and check speeds and disk rebuild speeds can/should I expect on a unraid server with X9SCM, E3-1240, 16 GB RAM, M1015 controller and 7200 rpm Hitachi drives?

    I have with 3x3TB 7200 Seagate drives and get a Check speed of 180MB/s (forget what the final average is).

    Parity drive is connected to the mobo the rest of the drives are connected to the IBM m1015. Total of 4 drives 2X Samsung 2TB 1x Hitachi and 1X Seagate

     

    Duration: 6 hours, 32 minutes, 36 seconds. Average speed: 84.9 MB/sec

    4TB parity sync, each took 10 hours with an average of about 100 MB/s but i did a lot of movie watching and data copying during the sync. The initital build took about 7 hours, so was a lot faster.
