I have two new hot swap bays on the way to replace my current static setup.  In turn, I will be re-arranging drives and cabling (yes I know which is the parity :D ).

 

Are the drive assignments in unraid (i.e. disk1, disk1, parity, etc) done via serial or via sata port / dev/xxx?  In other words, do I have to do a config reset and rebuild parity if I move the drives around, or does it know which ones are which because the serial obviously doesn't change?
