Apps loosing settings when server is restarted

Featured Replies

Whenever I restart the server, transmission, SAB and Sickbeard loose their settings. If I stop then restart them using unmenu's user scripts they get some of the settings back but not all.

I've installed them through pkg manager to the cache drive and they are set to reinstall on reboot

Any help would be appreciated

1. Is your array set to auto start?

2. have you updated to the newest .conf files?

3. can we see the log files for the apps?

4. what version of unraid?

5. hardware list

6. syslog please

Yeah, not enough information to answer that question

3. Where are these located, I can't find any log folders in the install dir?

4. 5.0-rc5

5. AMD Sempron 145, ECS A885GM-A2 (V1.1), Cheap Ram, 2 x 1TB, 1 x 2TB, 1 x 3TB, 1 x 500gb(cache), No parity

Take transmission as an example:

Where have you told transmission to save its data file ?  You should point it to the cache drive (or an array drive).

What you are experiencing sounds you are writing configs to the linux partition (and that is recreated after every reboot, meaning all settings are lost)

/mnt/cache/.transmission is the location for the install and torrent sub-directories
