Problems with gigabyte GA-P35-DS3

Featured Replies

Im having problems getting unraid to boot on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 (running newest bios).

I have tried booting it as USB-HD, USB-FDD well pretty much everything.

Have tried disabling USB2 support, didn't help. Turning off usb keyboard support didn't work either.

The stick boots up fine on my Asus-based unraid server, so it should work.

Have anybody gotten this board to work? Or do you have any idea what i might try to tinker with? Im kinda stuck...

Did you try any of the steps on the wiki??  http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=USB_Flash_Drive_Preparation

Specifically, using the "-ma" option to syslinux and/or using HP tool to format the flash drive

Even though it boots on one PC does not guarantee the bios on another will know how to boot it.  (same thing happened to me) It was the "-ma" option and using the HP tool that did it for me.

More tips here: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Best_of_the_Forums#USB_Boot_Issues including some motherboards needing a newer version of the syslinux command.
