August 11, 201213 yr Hi After couple of days working with RC6, I must say that it is about 30% faster than 4.7 and overall smoother. I get now around 30MB/sec on writes vs. 22MB/sec. My wife also noticed that her backups of Photoshop works get transferred faster now to unRaid Squeezebox now scans the library maybe twice as fast (I did not measure, but it is a LOT faster) Good! P.S. This was kind of information I looked for myself before the upgrade..
August 12, 201213 yr thanks I can't get it to work in my amd 880 system What doesn't work? RC-6? If RC-6 is not working for you, you should be posting complete details (including your equipment list and syslog) as something is seriously wrong somewhere. While it is always nice to hear from the people who are having a successful experience, Tom really needs details on people who are having problems. That is what release candidates are all about!
