June 20, 200818 yr Feature Request: Enable Serial and Parallel ports in kernel config. Having the parallel and serial ports enabled would ease the installation of UPS monitoring packages that are not USB based (most older commercial UPS's are serial), or future use as a LAN based printer server, or connection to any number of accessories that need either parallel or serial port I/O.
