Copy problems, network errors during copying...

Featured Replies

In the past i could copy data without problems under windows, from e.g. the cache drive to a user share. But for some reason, it now copies a few files, and stops, saying there is a network error... but it DID copy a few files. Every time the same. After a few files the connection is lost?

If a browse the folders,  there are no issues. All is connected.

All shares are public, to all. I have only one user 'root'. I've allready restarted the array, rebooted the system...

I'm trying to copy a cd album, which constantly failes... a few tracks are copied and then connection is lost.

Weird thing is, if i copy something totally different, some other folder from my machine, it works perfectly... just this specific album failes if i copy it using explorer from cache to share. Using  mc, no problem... i'm lost...

*edit*

even weirder; i copied the album /w tracks back to my windows pc. When i tried to delete it from the user share from within windows, i had no rights. So i used linux cmd prompt to delete it, and after that i could copy it from the windows pc to the user share with no problems... wtf?

And the problems are back. I can browse my cache disk, but if i try to copy an item that is allready there, it tries to copy it, the filename appears (with a '1') to the name) and then... the connection is lost and there is an error. And i can still browse... it is now on all  shares and disks...
