August 18, 201213 yr I have upgraded disk1 from 2tb to 3tb and I have 1tb free space. I want to transfer most of the contents of disk14 which has 1.4tb worth of data on it to fill up disk1. How do I do this?
August 18, 201213 yr Author I am using putty. I typed in MC and a MC gui pops with files like @smaba, @powerdown, mdcmd. But I don't know what this means.
August 18, 201213 yr http://www.trembath.co.za/mctutorial.html User shares are under /mnt/user, disk shares are under /mnt/disk??

August 18, 201213 yr Author Sorry my fault. I don't use linux etc at all. I am only used to Windows. I am now transferring one file from disk14 to disk1 and the write speeds seems very slow. Its writing at about 18.70 MB/s.

August 18, 201213 yr Author I might go back to RC5 and see if the write speeds are better as the rebuild and parity check speeds are significantly faster than on test2. New_Text_Document.txt
August 18, 201213 yr Author Speed is actually around 20.5MB/s. Its odd as when I write from an external source to the server I get 30MB/s+.
August 18, 201213 yr There are 3 disks involved copying internally, only two externally, I guess that's what slows things down. My system has pretty much the same speeds.
