Idea: easy access to your unRAID via Web from everywhere

I just came across this nice combination of features available out there and thought I'd try and

spark some interest in this with you, who might have the desire to access their data from the internet.

 

1.  ...have a look at ownCloud

    This is a python web-app and will turn your unRAID box into a Web based toolkit with access and management of your files and more

 

2. ...see Pagekite

    This will enable you to make your ownCloud available to you from anywhere.

    It is not free, but individuals can decide how much of a fee it is worth.

 

....that combo looks fairly secure, with limited risks. You'll need to open a port in your router/firewall though, but just one.
