I'm runnig v5.0-rc6-r8168-test2 (Experimental fix/test for mpt2sas controllers (LSI)). August 25, 201213 yr Author There is no HPA, the drives are identical as per hdparm utility: root@Tower:~# hdparm -N /dev/sdc /dev/sdc: max sectors = 5860533168/5860533168, HPA is disabled root@Tower:~# hdparm -N /dev/sdv /dev/sdv: max sectors = 5860533168/5860533168, HPA is disabled Smart information shows similar sizes for both drives.
