VelcroBP
I've received my Intel PRO1000 GT NIC and installed. I am still not getting gigabit speeds. Transfers are ~12-13 MB/s. Ethtool shows speed as 1000 Mb/s. I've previously replaced the cabling with Cat6 to the wall. My Win7 PC can transfer from another network share at ~80 MB/s, so I don't think it is the switch. Truthfully though, I'm clueless about troubleshooting this. My upstairs roomate owns the switch and has the network setup from there. I can have him test it to make sure it's not on his end, but I need to know what to have him check. Can specific ports be bad or otherwise influence the speed independent of other, properly working ports? Any advice on troubleshooting methodology from here would be appreciated. Link to comment
VelcroBP
Spoke too soon, perhaps? After last reboot I seem to be up and running. Writing to share w/ parity and no cache drive @ ~50 MB/s. Copying FROM share to Win7 PC @ ~75 MB/s. Hopefully this isn't going to be an ongoing issue. Link to comment
