[SOLVED] Cannot access some files after 4.7->5.0 upgrade

Featured Replies

I just upgraded to 5.0 RC6-test from 4.7.  Had to get rid of HPA first which is now done.

I have run the permissions script, but cannot access some of my files from my windows machines.  Some do work, but many do not.  I can get to them, but when I try to play a video file, I get the following error:

"Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing this file"

I know for 100% sure these files used to play, what is happening and what do I do?

Syslog is attached

*Update*

If I take one of the video files that I cannot play then copy and paste it to my local windows machine, it plays fine from there.

Syslog_Aug282012.txt

Couple things I'm interested to know the results of.

1. Copy the file that plays back to another location on the array, and see if it plays from there.

2. Try playing the original file that won't play in WMP back with another player like VLC.

I had tried a log-off, and no change.

After a full restart of my windows PC, everything is back to normal.
