Motherboard Wistron model 532837-ZH1

Featured Replies

I have a HP X510 Vault running WHS2008. I do want to rip it down to only NAS under unRAID. I am trying to find articles but no succes so far. Can anyone tell me if unRAID is supporting Wistron model 532837-ZH1?

If the answere is no or mayby what is the best to do just buy a nas like synology or unRAID. I have mutliple MAC's at the office.

Thanks in advance

Cheers

I have a HP EX490 also with a Wistron board, showing in the syslog as: HP MediaSmart Server/532837-ZH1, sounds familiar?. I plugged a USB stick in the back an it worked right away. I built a unraid server on it and connected an eSATA-tower on the back eSATA connection of the EX490. It serves me well now for 8 months.

It's no surprise that the hardware will be pretty much the same as well, but let's take a look anyway shall we? As the case is identical to the MediaSmart Servers, this means the standard disassembly instructions work here as well.

I just sold a laptop similar to this and it was fine, and not everyone has money to buy new stuff all the time.
