abhi.ko
My backup files are staying in the cache drive even after the mover has finished running. I've tried to invoke the mover manually but that had no effect. I'm completely lost on this no idea why this is happening. Here are a few screenshots attached: 1 - shot of the cache drive - backup folder with files much older than a day - mover is set to run every day. Funny thing is that all other files that are copied over gets moved, just this directory (Backups/Desktop/Boot Drive) is the problem. 2 - shot of the actual backup samba share directory (final destination of the backup files) - the backups in the cache folder does show up here, but they are in the cache folder as well, don't know hwy this is happening. 3- top level view of the cache drive - there are folders there which is not supposed to be moved (starting with a .) but this is not one of them. 4 - the disk status as of now - I have an almost full disk - not sure whether that is causing this, it shouldn't be but again I'm not really an expert. 5 - My backup share settings are high water and split level 2. Any idea what is going on. I'm on 5.0 rc5. All help and suggestions are welcome, TY! Link to comment

dgaschk
Attach a syslog. The write is going to disk1 and then failing because the mim free space is not set. Link to comment
abhi.ko
Here is the syslog attached...! Apologies for the noob question, but what is min free space setting for? Did not find any documentation in the wiki. I have a split level of 2 and my directory structure for this backup is: /Backups/Computer Name/Drive Name/Backup file Is that the best way to do it or no? syslog.zip Link to comment

abhi.ko
TY for that! So I messed up - now is this fixable - how do i fix it, just changing the min free space and running the mover again would do it? Link to comment
lionelhutz
Your backup directory is 3 levels deep so a split level of 2 won't allow the "Drive Name" to split. Either move "Drive Name" off disk 1 or increase the split level. Link to comment
abhi.ko
TY lionelhutz & Frank! Increased the split level to 3 on the backups share and set the min free space limit, that should take care of it right! Fixed the min free space on all other shares as well. Please do let me know if there is something I'm still missing. Link to comment
mr-hexen
Min free space should bet set to larger then the largest file you expect to save. your back ups were 70 somthing GB if i remember correctly, so set free space to 80000000 Link to comment
