[SOLVED] New HDD not being written to...

Featured Replies

In the past as I have upgraded the size of my array, I have simply slid a new HDD into the machine, precleared and viola - up and running. This time however, I followed all those same steps, but for some reason I am not having shares written to the new drive. I can access Disk4, copy things to it, edit them, and delete them all remotely and manually, but unRAID doesn't seem to want to span onto that volume.

Any ideas what I can do? Currently Disks 1-3 are entirely full, which is what I was hoping to prevent, and Disk 4 has, quite literally, nothing on it.

I have attached two screenshots, the first of the share setting for my "Movies" share, and the second of the settings page for Disk4. Please not that I have also tried using "All" for included disks instead of individualing naming them. It made no difference.

Leave included disks blank if you want all of them to be included. Or use the correct descriptors, i.e., "disk1" (no space).

I also believe if you have the split level empty you must create the top level folders manually for the share to span to the new drive. May be wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.

I, evidently, never realized that I did NOT have all disks included in my global share settings...

I sincerely appreciate peoples input, and thankfully everything is now up-and-running.
