And if there is no easy way. Is there a way to get it to do it properly from the ipmi remote shutdown?

I have the supermicro x7dbex, and for some reason when I tell it to shutdown from the power switch or from ipmi, it just goes down. Doesn't matter what I have the bios set to for the power switch. I have an apc and it will go down normally from there if it has an extended outage.
