Fan-less or Very Quiet Hot Swap Back Plane

Featured Replies

I currently have 2 SNT SNT-SAC2131B, but they are really loud and I have swapped out the fans for quieter ones and it is still two loud for me.

My case is Nexus Prominent 9, it has a total of 9 5.25" drive bays.  It came with 2 - 4 in 3 drive cages but I disliked not being able to take a drive out without taking the whole drive cage out.

I have only 7 Drives in my server right now and have plans to increase to about 12 if needed.  I don't want to modify my case so a 5 in 3 back plane will not work for me.  If there is a good deal on a 5 in 3 I will consider it but prefer not to modify my case.

I would really like to have activity lights and tray-less but not a must.

I just found this Rosewill RSV-L4411 server case.

If I buy this case I can remove the back planes and use them in my Nexus case.  I am limited to 23" deep computer including the power and network cable.  This server case is 25" deep not including the power and network cable.
