September 22, 201213 yr I am wanting to build a mini tower with 8 drives. The plus level included 6 drives. Is this data drives meaning it will work with 8 drives in total (parity/cache). Also is it worth using a ssd for a cache drive or just stick to a 7200rpm drive. Cheers!
September 22, 201213 yr I just upgraded to Plus and as you are aware with the free version, Parity counts as a drive. The way I look at it, the Plus level gives you 6 data disks and 1 cache disk. If you want parity, it will cost you a data disk. I was a little unclear about how the cache disk fit into the picture before I ordered. I am extremely happy I upgraded; the turn-around time on registering the flash drive was very quick! Using the cache drive for plugins is wonderful. I'm using a spare 7200rpm drive and it's doin' the job. Best of Luck!
