How to write a cron job?

Featured Replies

Can someone please give me an example of a cron job that will start the mover, wait for it to finish, and then stop the array. Can this be put in the go script?

When the array is stopped can then the server be powered down by just switching it off or cutting power, without invoking a parity check at start-up?

I stop the array, than select shutdown in the GUI, this never results in problems

I did pull the power once by accident, that resulted in a rebuilt of the parity, so i bought a UPS as i not want to do this again.

I know that but I like to do it with a cron job as a little experiment.
