Help: Unable to start array

Featured Replies

Hello

I'm setting up unraid for the first time and have precleared 4x 3Tb drives using screen. I go to the Devices section of the Server Management and assign 2 drives and a Parity (I'd rather not add this at this stage though whilst I add my data) whilst I await a key to enable the 4th. When I go to Main, the Start button is greyed out and the message "No array disk devices have been assigned!" is displayed. Did I miss something? Am I only able to start the array when all precleared drives are assigned?

Syslog attached.

Thanks

Version 5 is required for 3T drive support. Version 4.7 is limited to 2T drives.

Thanks dgaschk

Is it possible to upgrade to 5 without having to start over? I notice in the release notes it states that all drives need to be assigned before upgrading, but, I'm not in a position to do that of course.

Since you are really performing an initial install, you'll be fine.

Use version 5.0-rc8a
