Hi, I dont know what I have done but after upgrading from 4.7 to 5.0-rc8a and trying to setup sabnzbd, sickbeard and couch potato my system is acting weird and not letting me access files and shares because I don't have the correct permissions. After deleting my Movies share and wanting to recreate it on a different split level I accidentally deleted all my movies from my drives. Then it created all these shares for TV show episodes which I had downloaded through sickbeard and sabnzbd which are on my cache drive.

 

I need help and would like to start the configuration again and get all the shares/users setup correctly first time and then get sabnzbd, sickbeard, couchpotato working correctly with my cache drive...

Delete any files on the disks and re-create the flash drive. Then, assign disks again and rebuild parity.

 

If you just delete files on the disks and delete any extras you added to the flash you can avoid assigning disks and rebuilding parity. It really makes no difference. Just reboot once you clear out the flash.

Ok but does that mean I have to preclear the disks again?

 

I am still a little confused with how to get sabnzbd, sickbeard and couchpotato working in sync with the cache drive. I couldn't find a guide about setting them up either but just a generic one without unraid. I thought I had it sussed but obviously not. All I want is sickbeard and couchpotato to send the nzb to sab to download, one of the programs to do the renaming and post processing and then it being put on the cache drive for the mover to move it to the correct share on the array.

I've managed to start over again and get the correct shares setup without any problems so far. I am now confused with the configuration of sabnzbd, sickbeard and couchpotato and then how the mover works on the cache and where it moves it too.

 

I created an apps share which is cache only and have two folders in there for the data directory and install directory. The settings I need help with are the download folders and the post processing.

 

Temporary download folder is: /mnt/cache/apps/data/sabnzbd/Downloads/incomplete

Completed download folder is: /mnt/cache/Downloads/complete (this seems to have created a user share automatically?)

Post processing scripts folder is: /mnt/cache/apps/installs/sickbeard/autoProcessTV

 

I've created two categories in sabnzbd, one for 'tv' which runs the post processing script sabToSickbeard.py and another one for movies which is similar to default with no folder path or group tags.

 

In sickbeard I have TV Download Dir as blank and scan and process as unticked with keep original files, rename episodes and move associated files ticked. When adding my tv shows I set the parent file as /mnt/user/TV_Shows.

 

In couchpotato I have the folder it searches movies from as /mnt/cache/Downloads/complete and to move it to /mnt/user/Movies as well as renaming.

 

Is this all correct and efficient? I don't see how I'm using the mover of the cache drive. Is there something for which I have to change?

You move to /mnt/user/X where X is your share name. That will put into the share, using the cache first if it's set for that share.

 

Leave the download folders as Downloads/complete and Downloads/incomplete. Use the catagories in SAB like they come and in the other programs set the same catagories. Movies with a movie directory for example. For Sick use TV and in SAB set TV to use the sabtosickbeard script.

 

In couch, seach the /mnt/cache/apps/installs/SABnzbd/Downloads/complete/movies directory to post process.

 

Every top level directory placed on a disk becomes a share with default settings.
