October 3, 201213 yr I'd like to get some information on this before I spend the money to replace 2 SAS cables. I have a total of 12 Norco SAS cables in 2 servers, and now 2 drives are getting increasing UDMA CRC Error Counts, one is at 3 and the other at 15. I ran parity sync, and sure enough the numbers increased by 1 each. I already had 1 hotswap bay die in this Norco 4224 and the errors were not there when I replaced it a few weeks ago. This is the same hotswap bay connected to the drive with 15 errors. The other drive is on completely separate hotswap bay, and were also not there a few weeks ago. Can a SAS cable actually be faulty for one drive and not the other 3 drives its connected too? I'm not sure if I should replace both hotswap bays or the SAS cables. Thanks.
