October 5, 201213 yr I was previously using 2 2TB Hard Drives for my TV Shows and I recently added a 3rd. I have a question about the best way to configure the Allocation and Split Levels after adding the third drive. Disk 1 - 365GB Free Disk 2 - 303GB Free Disk 3 - 1.94TB Free Folder Structure = TV Shows/Show Title/Season My original config was High-Water with Split Level 1. I thought that by adding the third drive that shows would start going to the new one but they still continue to get sent to disk1 or disk2. I manually moved some shows to disk 3. I'm not concerned with seasons spanning multiple disks so what would the best configuration be for me?
October 5, 201213 yr Use split level 2 would allow different seasons to exist on different drives. You will still have to manually move any partial seasons to the new disk if you want the new episodes to go to the new drive. This is how split level works. You are using level 1 which tells unRAID it must keep each complete TV series on a single drive. So, unRAID won't start using a new drive for a partial series because you told it not to do that.
