unRaid web menu access behind reverse proxy

Featured Replies

I have a reverse proxy (nginx) setup on my firewall that is directing traffic to different internal computers for different web apps. My problem is that when I try to direct to the default unRaid web menu on port 80 I get a 502 bad gateway. I know that the web site on unRaid works internally, but it seems like something is weird with the login. I have sabnzbd sickbeard couchpotato and plex all working with the reverse proxy, but I can't figure out why the unRaid web menu isn't working. I'm not talking about unMenu either that is on port 8080. I'm referring to the default web gui. I do have simplefeatures installed, which may be causing an issue, but I haven't uninstalled that to test. Has anyone else tried this? It also seems that all the links in unMenu are hard coded for some reason. I can get that to work with my reverse proxy, but when clicking on any link it goes to http://computername:8080 which seems counter intuitive. Thanks for the help experts.

I forgot to mention that sabnzbd sickbeard couchpotato and plex server are all on the unraid box I am trying to access the web gui on. Everything works except that.

PS I tried also searching on how to disable the web login temporarily to see if that was the issue and I can't find anything close.
