October 13, 201213 yr I upgraded sabnzbd +SB to plugins recently and thought I might try couch potato as alot of people were recommending it. It looks really good so far, I love being able to snatch something from looking at IMBD. I just noticed my drives were spun up and checked some of the logs to see what caused it. It seems CP was trying to delete a movie it downloaded during the week for some reason (a repack was ready i think). Does couch potato do this often? I dont like the idea of my drives been spun up all the time with it trying to delete files. It tried 2x but i don't think it deleted anything since "Directory not empty". Is there anyway to leave it as just a downloader and disable the file deletion? Thanks
October 13, 201213 yr Author Thanks eroz, I can do this by changing the user from nobody to something else like "CP" for example? I think in future I might just delete movies I want to upgrade from the server first and then let CP download the new one. THanks
October 13, 201213 yr In the settings you can disable the "management" portion. My setup downloads and moves the moves.. so it deletes the download after it copies. The other thing you can do is sync all your file activities, so the drives only spin up once a day for example. whiteatom

THanks Sorry... i meant in couchpotato don't let it manage your movies. just let it download and rename.
