problem with replacing old drive with new drive

I swapped out an old 1TB drive with a new 2TB drive. I started the rebuilding process, server reported "starting..." and a few minutes later stopped responding. I can not access the server's location. It may have crashed.

 

How should I deal with this -- should I restart the machine, or wait hours in case it is still rebuilding? The new hard drive was not precleared. I'm using Unraid Pro 4.7. The new harddrive model is a Seagate ST2000DM001 2TB.

 

Update: I went ahead and restarted the machine. The data-rebuild is in progress, with an estimated finish in about 10 hours. No idea why it crashed.
