ESXi 5.1 Upgrade - successes?

Hi folks,

 

So this evening I tried to update from ESXi 5.0 to 5.1.  Why?  No reason, really.  I guess I like to be bleeding edge. 

 

Everything seemed to go fine until unRAID attempted to boot.  It appears that the USB card I purchased (Monoprice) to passthrough the unRAID stick doesn't work with 5.1.  And it took me 3 attempts to find this one that worked with 5.0!  Blah.  I guess I don't need to upgrade anyway (yet), though I did want to throw on the new Ubuntu.

 

The good news is the ESXi recovery/rollback process is super simple.

 

Anyone else have any failures or successes?

 

Edit: I guess the passthrough of a USB card not working is a widespread issue that will need to be fixed with a future patch.  http://communities.vmware.com/thread/417736?start=0&tstart=0
