October 16, 201213 yr This is a good buy, and I've had good luck with these (about 12-14 of them in my UnRAID Now). I was getting these for about that price ($69ish) before the floods from Amazon.Com. I just ordered 3 of these from this link (and will submit $20 rebate on the one), and replace the last (3) 750 GB Drives in my Array.
October 16, 201213 yr I'm glad someone has better luck with these than me. The Internet is full of forums with people that have had numerous issues with barracuda drives i didn't read until after I bought 4. If I'd read is never bought them. I use the seagate constellation drives now which are running aok. These are NAS grade drives.
October 17, 201213 yr I have been through 6 of these myself. All 6 are now dead. I can say that I was pleasently surprised by the speed of the new 3TB Seagate that I just bought. Maybe they have turned the corner???
