[SOLVED]Added a new disk, change isn't reflected in df command (Unraid 5.0-rc8a)

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,

I recently added a new drive to my array (Unraid version was 5.0-rc6).

I ran df but it's output didn't reflect the new size addition. I restarted the array, ran df again, and the output was correct.

Then, I added another new drive. I ran df again and once again it's output didn't reflect the new size addition.

I restarted the array, ran df again, but this time the output didn't update. I restarted the server and even updated Unraid to 5.0-rc8a but to no avail.

This is the current output of df:

(Notice how the sum of the 1K-blocks is 7.8TB instead of 11TB)

Funny enough, unMenu does seem to report on the right capacity:

Syslog is here:

Any help will be appreciated!

What drives did you have at the start, which drives did you add, and are they being reported?

Including a syslog would help as well.

I had three drives at start and they are disk1, disk2, disk3 (sdd, sdc, sda respectively).

I added disk4 and disk4 (sde, sdb respectively).

Syslog is linked in the bottom of message.

Everything looks fine.

If you add up the size of your drives from df, (or "df -h"), it does give you 11TB.

I think you are simply mistaking shfs as showing the size of your array. It's not. It's the total size of your user shares. You simply need to go to Share Settings under settings  ("http://tower/Settings/ShareSettingsMenu")  and add your disk 5 to your included disks in user shares.

thejinx0r, you're absolutely right.

Must have forgotten to add disk5 to the Included disks.

Thanks!
