Clean reinstall of addons

Featured Replies

Ok im running b14 now with sabnzbd, logitech squeezebox , airvideo, simplefeatures addon.

I want to go to rc5 but with a clean reinstall of allthose addons cause there are all new versions of all addons..

Should i just format my usb stick?

And do a fresh install or, do i upgrade from b14 to rc5 and manually delete the addons (if so how?) and reinstall

Thx!

I would like to do the same thing.  I'm pretty sure I just upgrade to the latest version and comment out the stuff in the go file but I don't know how to do that part.  What do I type in the go file?  Also since I'm using unmenu I guess I can select most of the stuff and say don't reinstall on reboot.

Bump anyone please.

I would also like to know the answer to this question.

It really depends on what addons your running. You will want a stock go file, make sure there are no files in /boot/extra, /boot/plugins, /boot/packages and /boot/config/plugins. That should get you to a stock setup.

You shouldnt format the USB unless you don't mind losing your unraid config and disk settings.

Read the release notes to be sure but to upgrade from b14 I believe you just need to copy over the new bzroot and bzimage files.

I would suggest making a copy of your complete flash drive first.
