only root can see /mnt/user

Featured Replies

I've been trying to get my ftp server running and would like to keep users in the /mnt/user/ folder, but it seems only root can see the directory.  Other users see

/mnt/disk1/

/mnt/disk2/

etc

but not /mnt/user/.  I've tried users created in the web admin interface as well as some created via command line.  The permissions seem fine (drwxr-xr-x) when I view it using root - can someone explain why I can't see it using other users?
