October 25, 201213 yr Hi, I was wondering if there are any plans to add support to allow unRAID 5 to become an iSCSI target? And if so, how will that also tie into using a cache drive? I know that for the 4.7 write-up I saw, we need to point to the /dev/mdx location, not the /dev/sdx. But, will the /dev/mdx location also utilize the cache drive, or will there be a different dev point?

AFAIK, the md devices are the parity protected disk identities, which never use the cache. Only user shares (which are mapped under the /mnt/user location) use the cache drive. I have no clue on the iSCSI part of the equation.
