user0 directory gone / no mover

Featured Replies

I have actually seen this several times (at least 6 times) over the last half year, over several versions of V5.

At some point the user0 directory dissapears under /mnt meaning that the mover process can no longer run. A reboot will fix it. There is nothing significant in the syslog.

Do people recognise this behaviour ?

Its happened to me a few times, I've only really noticed it because I added shares to plex with /mnt/user0/ so at some point I can't watch anything and when I have a look, user0 is not accessible, that's using the latest v5 RC

Well, at some point the cache drive will be full and all the data remaining on the cache is unprotected..

Is there any way to re-enable the user0 without rebooting the whole server?

That would be great...  But I do not think so...

well that's a pain, I think it happens to me when I stop/start the Plex server

Contact the author of the plex server plug-in.

I do not use the plex server... Happens irregularly... But this could point to an issue combined with SMBD... When plex starts it will most probably restart smbd.. Maybe that triggers something, worth a test !

I've had it happen once before.

Don't know what caused it, i'm not using plex so thats not the cause.

Reboot fixed it, but it's an annoying procedure.

Didn't find anything in the logs either at that time.

That is same for me... Nothing looks like it is going wrong... The annoying thing is that it makes me feel like I have to check the user0 stats every day to make sure data is not left unprotected on the cache drive..

Even the nightly scheduled mover run does not create an error in some way if the mover cannot run due to user0 unavailability...

+1, added new disk to array. Added this new disk to the share(s) it needs to be apart of. No /user0, I ran into this because the data I manually copied to the drive was not showing up under the Share(s) the disk is apart of. I went looking into /mnt/%share% to see if via console I could see the files, and there not showing up and that's when I also noticed NO user0... via any device I can browse to the New Disk and see the files but not via the share. Another beautiful bug. Since I don't run ANY plugins, unRAID is the culprit.
