Unraid in VM... working, sorta :S

Featured Replies

So... since apparently my raid cards aren't supported in unraid... (3ware 8506-8) I thought I would use VMware (which is what i ultimately wanted to do anyways) and just use the passthrough...

great... now I have my drives passed through, unraid running... but my drives are not listed properly...

I get the volume size, but nothing else... so I can't figure out what drive does what now.. or where it goes.

anyhelp?  I am so lost :(  what if i just add them to the array anyways, will it screw it all up?

So you are using RDM to pass drives to your unRAID VM?  You should be able to setup and use them in an array.  Here is a thread about unRAID and RDM'd drives.
