October 31, 201213 yr I am trying to be able to stream my music (and audiobooks) to my portable devices...but I just can't find anything that really does it. I know theres something simple that i'm missing, but..i'm just missing it. How can I access my music/audio on the road (android mostly) and stream them?

October 31, 201213 yr I'm afraid it's a combination of programs needed. Subsonic (unraid plugin for that), vpn server & client. You can either install Openvpn on your home router or server box and configure your vpn connection on your mobile device. The OpenVPN for Android client works work on my nexus 7.
November 8, 201213 yr Uh, PlexServer and Plex for Android/IOS? (Well, this won't deal with special AudioBook formats.. hmm)
